Thank you for your interest in my latest row by row overlay mosaic crochet pattern! inspired by the look of beautiful lace, this pattern has 211 stitches across by 243 rows.

IN ENGLISH ONLY, although the charts are universal and have X’s and grid lines every 10/10 rows and stitches for easy reading plus a full chart.

With overlay mosaic crochet all single crochet stitches go into the back loop of the stitch and all double crochet stitches go into the front loop of the stitch 2 rows below which will be of the same colour. You cut the yarn at the end of every row and join new yarn at the start of every row, the ends will either be left to create a
fringe, or you can create an envelope border, I have a PDF in the files of my Facebook group, link below.

My testers information is at the bottom of the pattern and below. I used YarnArt Flowers Alpaca DK for my background colour [940m/250g per cake] in shade 407, 2 cakes, total used is 1,263m. Stylecraft Highland Heathers DK in shadeTerrier [7225], [272m per 100g skein], total used is 994m. My blanket measures 110cm/101cm [43/39.5 inches] with a 3.5mm hook without the border.

In a separate PDF the Charts and full chart are read from bottom to top and right to left, so you start at the bottom right corner of the charts. Each blank square is a single crochet and each square with an X is a double crochet. The AS is the anchor stitch, the A/B is that all A rows are the detailed colour, and all B rows are the background colour. Start with chart 1-16.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO MY INCREDIBLE TESTERS!

Christina O’Connor’s amazing work was created with 4ply Hobbi Twister in Solid Black [105] 223g/892m, and YarnArt Flowers 4ply colour 228, 250g/1000m. With a 2.5mm hook it measures 88/66cm.

Yvonne Elizabeth Hall used for her background colour 3 skeins of Red Pound of Love and her detailed colour was Caron One Pound in White, her beautiful blanket measures 60/70 inches with a size H hook.

Clo Die used Zeeman DK promotional yarn in Purple 500g, and Soft Pink 655g. Her gorgeous blanket measures 130/145cm with a 4mm hook.

Elaine Frasier Rodgers used 2 different vegetated yarns for her beautifully colourful blanket, for her background she used Red Heart in Anthracite Ombre total 2 skeins of the 10oz, and for her detailed colour Red Heart Itty Bitty Stripes in Pink Lemonade totalling 3.5 of the 10oz skeins, as you can see it’s a double bed size!

    A Bit About Me!

I love how creative you can be with mosaic overlay crochet, using only simple stitches.

I dedicate all of my creativity and patterns to my Father who sadly left us Christmas 2021. He was a drummer in local bands in the 80s, one I particularly remember was “With the Flow” so this is why I have the word flow in some of my patterns.

His name was Cliff, my Mum always jokingly said that that’s the only reason she married him was because she had a crush on Cliff Richard lol. He was also in groups called Kindred Spirit, Dark Legion and Take 3, maybe I’ll use some of those words too!

Thank you for your interest and I hope you enjoy my designs!
