Thank you for your interest in my latest center out AND row by row pattern, Mandala Spirit. I love the look of a mandala and although it was challenging to do a circle I love the result.

IN ENGLISH ONLY, the charts are universal so if you can read them then you can create your own!

I did the row by row version, I used a DK yarn for my background colour and an Aran for my detailed colour, both thicknesses were the same, so they blended perfectly. My blanket with a 4mm hook measures 108cm square [42.5 inches] without the border.

I used for my background, YarnArt Super Merino DK Burgundy [188], 7 skeins, 666g, 1,865m.

My detailed colour, YarnArt Melody in Beige [882], 5 skeins, 500g, 1,150m.

Total yarn usage, 3,015m.

With overlay mosaic crochet row by row all single crochet stitches go into the back loop of the stitch and all double crochet stitches go into the front loop of the stitch 2 rows below which will be of the same colour. You cut the yarn at the end of every row and join new yarn at the start of every row, the ends will either be left to create a

fringe, or you can create an envelope border, I have a PDF in the files of my Facebook group, the link is below.

    A Bit About Me!

I love how creative you can be with mosaic overlay crochet, using only simple stitches.

I dedicate all of my creativity and patterns to my Father who sadly left us Christmas 2021. He was a drummer in local bands in the 80s, one I particularly remember was “With the Flow” so this is why I have the word flow in some of my patterns.

His name was Cliff, my Mum always jokingly said that that’s the only reason she married him was because she had a crush on Cliff Richard lol. He was also in groups called Kindred Spirit, Dark Legion and Take 3, maybe I’ll use some of those words too!

Thank you for your interest and I hope you enjoy my designs!
